Choosing the right sweatshirt tips?
All clothing is custom and made to order, so it is important to pick out a sweatshirt or tshirt you will truly love.
Here are some tips/ information on choosing the right sweatshirt:
- Choose a good thread color.
We recommend light thread on dark fabric, or dark thread on light fabric.
You are welcome to choose any thread color based on your preference. You may choose other thread color combos if you would like a more subtle look.
We are not responsible for thread color/ how it appears on the sweatshirt after your choosing.
*We do not recommend white thread on any sand, light blue, or gray colored clothing due to low visibility.
-Choose a good photo.
Simply submit your portrait photo. For handwriting photos, you may take a picture of any writing or submit a digital file. These may be any format.
Tips for a good portrait photo:
good lighting, not blurry, not cut off, fully in frame

-Notes for sleeve embroidery:
We recommend 3-6 words due to the size of the sleeve embroidery area. We will do our best to properly size for the sleeve, but please keep this in mind when submitting a sleeve embroidery photo. Words may be moved around for best sizing fit.
- Please note that some details may be removed/ altered in the embroidery process.
- Choose a size that fits best for your preference. Please see our size guide to find the correct size you would like. All sweatshirts and tshirts are unisex.
- Any extra details requested are subject to additional pricing.

- Your custom high quality embroidered sweatshirt or tshirt
- Sweaters are individually wrapped with ribbon and protective cellophane
- A polaroid of your original photo will be included with portrait embroidery designs
- A printed card of original handwriting will be included with handwriting embroidery designs

- Envelope with first name to hold everything included
- Your order may be shared onto social media for promotional purposes. (Final product, photo, and possibly name.) None of your personal information such as address will be shared. If you would not like your order to be shared, please mention in the notes. Thank you!

*By placing a preorder, you agree to the terms. Preorders can take up to an additional 4 weeks prior to processing and shipping times.
Before you decide to order PREORDER an item from our website, please note the following:
IMPORTANT NOTE: Payments for pre-ordered items are charged immediately upon checkout, not when shipped.
Preorders are for items that are NOT in stock at the time of purchase.
By preordering, you agree that we can not provide any additional information on estimated arrival date.
You will receive an email with tracking information once your order has been shipped.
Once you place your preorder, it can not be modified or cancelled. Please only preorder if you are willing to wait up to an additional four weeks prior to processing and shipping times. This extra time does not include the time it takes to custom make your order and does not include shipping time.
If you are looking to receive an item within a certain timeframe, we do not recommend preordering. We have no control over the time frame in which inventory is received.
If for some reason we cannot fill your order due to an inventory or manufacturing error, we will cancel and refund your order.
If you order a pre-order item along with an in-stock item, your order will be shipped together once the pre-order items are in stock. If you want the available items sooner, remove them from your cart and order them separately.
We cannot make any guarantees on the actual delivery date but will do our very best to keep the information as updated and accurate as possible. We also cannot guarantee that your order will ship on any specific date. We will process all orders in the order in which they are received. Again, we cannot guarantee the delivery date of any pre-ordered item.
We do not send update emails regarding preorders. We send two emails: the order confirmation email and the email advising that your order has been dispatched.
All items vary with times, please allow up to 4 weeks before contacting us for an update.

Can I order with only the sleeve embroidered?
Yes! When ordering, select "Sleeve embroidery only" (No design on chest)
Can I have both sleeves embroidered?
Yes!
1. Select "Sleeve embroidery only"
2. Scroll down to add ons, select "Add text to other sleeve"
3. Submit photos to be embroidered.
Can I place handwriting embroidery on the chest?
Yes! You can have handwriting embroidered on the front. We recommend this when you would like 6+ words.
Select "Front embroidery" and submit a handwriting photo for the front of the sweater.
Can you do roman numerals or other font/ text?
Yes! You may submit the roman numerals you would like. We can also use any digital font instead of handwriting.
Can you merge two photos together?
Yes! If you wanted to use two different photos and put them together on your embroidery, we can do that for you!
Simply send us the multiple photos and let us know what you'd like from each photo.

Can I send in my own clothing to be embroidered?
Sorry, we do not accept other clothing to be embroidered at this time. We currently only embroider the clothing purchased from our store. Thank you for understanding!

Shipping may exceed noted days due to transit delays. We are not responsible for shipment delays or lost packages.
All products are made to order, so processing times may vary. Processing and shipping times are an estimate only. We will do our best to get your order to you in a timely manner. If you are looking to receive your order by a certain date, contact us and we can give you a more specific estimated processing time and delivery date.

International shipping
We currently ship to United States, Canada, Australia, Europe, United Kingdom.
Shipping costs/ times vary by location and will be automatically calculated when ordering. Shipping times vary from 7-21 days after processing times.
Custom fees are not included in checkout pricing.
Processing time is around two weeks prior to shipping times.
The customer will be responsible for paying duties, taxes, and any other fees to the carrier upon delivery. Effy’s Embroidery is not responsible for any custom fees, shipping, or other fees associated with international shipping.
Pay Import Fees Online:
Online payments can be made anytime up to 30 minutes prior to delivery.
If you choose to pay your import fees online, we recommend saving a copy of your receipt to show the driver.
Your driver also accepts limited payment methods in person upon delivery.
Payments can be made any time online. However, it is recommended that payment occur at least 30 minutes prior to driver's arrival.
You may only order one product per order through international shipping due to our default packaging.
Duties (or Customs tariffs) are set by the destination country Customs authorities and determined based on a combination of the country of origin (manufacturing) of the goods being purchased and the classification of that merchandise in accordance with a harmonized system adopted and used by the countries that shipping supports. International taxes (such as Value Added Tax or VAT) are set by the destination country.
Please allow for processing time before shipping to understand when your order will arrive.
Do you embroider other products?
We currently only offer what is available in the store. We will be constantly updating our store, so please follow us on Instagram or TikTok for updates! @effys.embroidery
Can I see a proof preview of my order?
Sorry, due to demand we are unable to send out a proof of your outline.
You are welcome to send us a photo before purchase if you would like a second opinion before we start your order.
Please contact us if you have any concerns or questions with your order.

How can I make changes to my order?
Changes to your order can be made by you at any point whilst placing your order. Once you have confirmed your order and made payment, unfortunately no changes to your order can be made.
What is the status of my order?
After placing your order, you will receive a confirmation email. This will show the status of your order and order details.
Processing times are currently up to two weeks for standard shipping. Once your order is processed, you will receive another email once your order has shipped.
Do you accept returns/ refunds?
Returns All products are custom made, so we do not accept returns. Please contact us if there are any issues with your order and we will resolve it as quickly as possible.
Refunds You may cancel your order and get a full refund before we start processing your order. Once order has been processed and we begin creating your custom order, no refunds will be given.
